WOW!

I have been in and out of town for the past week, and I have recieved these wonderful packages. I know my neighbors are wondering what is going on!LOL! So many nice people from Crochetville have sent things to me and my daughter. It just make everything better when you open the door or mailbox and have a note or package. You realize that their are people out there thinking about you and you are not alone when the world wants to dump on you. Below are some pics of the wonderful things I recieved for myself and my daughter. The comfortghan she is holding came from Heartmade Blessing. They are a wonderful group of people who donate their time to make squares that are put together to make a ghan for someone who needs a little comfort. Thank you all for everything! You made my days alot brighter!

Been A Long Time

It has been forever since I have updated. I will be glad when things settle down so I can get back to Crochetville for more than a few minutes at a time.
For those of you who don't know, my Dad had 5 bypass surgery. He is doing better, and got to go home today.I am so glad. Now if he will just behave himself. LOL.
I haven't gotten much crocheting done. I have my uncle(who lives with my parents) to take care of, and her 2 dogs. They are not a problem to take care of, just keeps me busy. I am kinda in the blah mood about crocheting. Don't know what I want to make. I start something, and then I just don't like it, or get bored with it. Maybe I will perk up soon.
I have recieved 3 wonderful RAOKs. Thread, needles, yarn, stitch markers, and some wonderful things for my daughter. All of it was great! It meant alot to me, and helped alot!
Hope you all have a good day.

Loving It!

I just couldn't wait! I dug into the baby yarns I recieved and have gotten a blue baby onsie (I have to get buttons for it), a little girl set which includes: a poncho, a hat, and fake mary janes, and another pair of baby socks. I am having such fun! I had to ga ahead and post some pics. I was going to wait until I had everything done, but I am just so thrilled about it all.
I am also working on the 12 point star baby ripple blanket. I am just using a verigated (bright colors) yarn I already have. I have found a scarf pattern I want to try and have bought my yarn, but I don't know when I will get to it. LOL. I am definitly getting into having multiple WIP's. I just hope I don't get in over my head!
Below is a pic of what I have done so far with the baby yarn for my local NICU.

Great Surprise Today!

I recieved a great surprise today. My hubby is working nights right now, and so we were sleeping this morning and the doorbell rang. I jumped up, our dog went crazy, and I went to the door and I found a package. I recieved the yarn from a member of my Crochetville family she had told me she would send. It was a great surprise because I was not expecting this soon since she lives in Canada and I live in the southern US. As you can see from the pic below, it is beautiful! I so love the colors! I am going to enjoy using this make the preemies at our NICU some beautiful things. I am not putting her name because I am not sure if she would want me to, but I would like to let her know how much this will help out. Thank you so much! Also today, I recieved an RAOK for my daughter! I also posted a pic of it below. She is home for the weekend right now and leaves again tomorrow. She greatly appreciated the thoughtfulness and she loves keychains! The card was so sweet and encouraging. She could not believe someone she did not know sent her something for no reason. Thank you to my Crochetville Fairy Godmother for doing this! It meant alot to her.

I Am Playing Catch Up

I am playing catch up with my blog. I finished my pouch (pic one below) (for my crochet books), and it didn't turn out the way I wanted, but it works andwill hold all my books. I ordered 3 more crochet books, and can't wait til they get here. Needless to say, they will fit in the pouch (made it extra large). LOL! It is the first thing I have ever tried to make without a pattern, so I can't complain. Pics 2 & 3 are of the blanket I am making for my step-grandbaby that is due in October. At the rate I am going, it will take til then to finish it. I keep wanting to try all the patterns I see on Crochetville. Which takes me to pic 4. It is my attempt at AJ's Wrist Bag. I made it for a little girl that goes to my Mom's church. Also in the pic is a scrunchie I made to match the purse. First scrunchie I ever made.

My WIP's as of right now are:

Blanket for grandbaby
Baby cowboy boots
Tie

Until next time...... Keep those crochet hooks going!

Can't Sleep

For some reason I couldn't sleep, so I got up early and have been visiting Crochetville. Figured I needed to update my blog and now was a good time.
I hurt my back last night, and I don't know if was the pain pills or what, but all I could do last night was dream or think about different crochet things I want to try. I have no imagination... I am telling you, NONE. But, last night I kept getting these neat ideas of things I want to TRY to make without a pattern. For me that is a crazy idea because I have no idea how to even start if I don't have a pattern for something. Anyway, I got up and decided to take a composition notebook and write down my ideas and how I thought I could go about making them. Wish me luck, ALOT OF IT! LOL.
For someone who likes to finish what I am working on before I start a new project, I have also started more than one at a time. I guess I have gotten bit by the bug. You know the one.... where there are so many things you want to try and you just can't stand to wait. Thanks alot all of you Crochetville junkies! LOL..... that's right..... I blame you! All the pretty patterns ya'll post. I just couldn't take it any more. But.... I will also give credit where credit is due. Because of all you Crochetville junkies, I have started to branch out in my crochet, and ya'll have help to awaken what I didn't know was there... My Imagination! So many thanks!!!

Nothing much happening

Like the title says... nothing much happening. I did finish the lapghan I was working on and have started on the baby blanket for my grandbaby due in October.
I took my first batch of preemie blankets to the NICU today. They took me on a tour and let me see all the babies. They are soooo small and sooo cute. I had never seen a preemie baby up close, only on t.v., or after they were a few months old. I hope the families who recieve them get alot of use from them.
Well, that's about it. My life is a bore compared to some peoples. I don't have alot to post or talk about cause I just crochet, watch t.v., and go to Crochetville. That's the way I like it tho. Slow and simple! I will try to post pics when I get more done on the baby blanket.
